Official Post Office list of 1910 in CD form. Full post office list for Austrian Empire (incl Galicia etc), plus separate list for Hungary, and for Bosnia. Each section in alphabetical order, showing type of post office, and railway connections. In tabular form, easy to search visually (though there is no computer search facility, it is just a reproduction of the original book of 1910). "Where is it?" - that frequently asked question about obscure postmarks, is answered here.

by Dr Stephan Koczynski. Handbook on the early revenues of Austria, a seriously specialised work in German. Covers the historical, legal and printing details in depth. Essential (though heavy!) reading if you are building an exhibition standard collection of Austria revenue stamps. APS compact disk made in 2008.

DAS GEBUHREN- UND STEMEPLWESEN IN KARNTEN (revenue stamps of Carinthia) (B.86) by Carsten Mintert. Handbook detailing the development of taxation by revenue stamps in Carinthia, from earliest signet types, French Illyria period, special imprinted stamps for playing cards, almanacs, mainstream Austrian revenues, and regional Carinthia issues and local municipal issues to recent. Profusely illustrated in colour showing many documents and interesting pieces. Althugh specifically concerning just Carinthia, the principles here hold true for the whole of Austria and so provides an excellent guide to the development of taxation through revenue stamps for Austria as a whole. In German, but many illustrations and tables, so easy to follow. Hardback, full colour, 242 pages, published 2011.
