POSTAGE for Overseas customers (including USA)
We send by airmail, normally for relatively quick delivery. There is currently a mail backlog, due to a Russian-based cyber attack on UK Customs handling in January 2023, and mail to Overseas destinations is delayed. This does not mean mail is lost, just that it may take longer. Please be aware when ordering. Using insured mail (track and trace) can make it a little quicker and inform you of transit progress in the UK (and within your country if your country provides this service), but this costs £7 extra - see below. Also large parcels of bulkier books may take a little longer if checked by US Customs.
STAMP orders are POST FREE to any destination (ordinary airmail at your risk, orders over £250 sent by Signed For/Tracked with insurance up to Post Office limits).
BOOKS ARE POSTAGE EXTRA.
We charge for postage based on the value of the total book order (broadly, more or bigger books cost more to post).
Basic postage for books is automatically calculated on your order total, on the checkout page.
Postage costs for a book order :-
- up to £10 costs £8,
- up to £15 costs £10,
- up to £20 costs £14,
- up to £30 costs £18,
- up to £60 costs £23,
- up to £99 costs £30,
- up to £150 costs £35,
- larger orders over £150 cost a flat fee of £50 (excluding any "postage supplement" on the couple of very heavy publications on the site where this charge is advertised).
These costs cover mailing by regular airmail, with certificate of posting, but at your risk in the mail, it does NOT provide track and trace.
If you require registered mail (now called Airsure or Signed For) for insurance and tracking in UK, and also to final destination if your country provides this service, this costs £7 extra, and is an option you purchase in addition to the standard delivery charge.
Goods are sent with a customs form. Up to £270 value, we use the small, simple CN22 form. Over £270, we have to use the larger CN23 form, and if you have a required importer's tax number, please advise us. Depending on your country, there may be delays at your local customs office which are beyond our control.
Customers in Canada : please note the Canadian Post Office cannot handle books that weigh over 2kg, unless we send them by Royal Mail contract service.

Books are normally delivered by regular airmail, and sent at your risk. If you do require insurance, we can send by registered (now called AIRSURE or INTERNATIONAL SIGNED FOR, depending on your destination). This provides extra security in the mail, and with insurance up to the value of your order (or to the Post Office limits for your country - if you need more information on the limits for your destination, please email us first). This special postal service requires a signature on delivery, therefore you must provide an actual street address for delivery (not a P O Box). Track and trace is possible to most (but not all) countries as part of the insured service. If you need to know in advance about track and trace possibilities, please enquire.
Remember, books and stamps are sent AT YOUR RISK in the mail, unless insurance is paid for at the time of your order.
We are required to use Customs labels for all exports. For Latin America, Africa, India etc and parts of South East Asia there can be delays at Customs. Using the "Registered" mail service provides some measure of traceability and insurance. For North America (USA & Canada), books seem to be imported without delay or extra cost, although sendings are still at risk unless "Registered" service is used at £7 extra. For Canada, there is a weight restriction of 2 kilos per package, please enquire in advance before ordering if the book is shown as a "heavyweight", there may be some extra cost in sending a multiple package.
