CZECH FIELD POST 1918-1921 (B.224)
by Brian C. Day. The final year of WWI and the birth of the Czech Republic were complicated times for Czech speakers. Armies of troops from distant parts of the Austro-Hungarian Army were present on what became Czech lands, and Czech speakers were either in other distant parts of the Empire, or fled and volunteered to Czech Legions fighting with the Allies in Italy and France. The book is presented as a philatelic display, based on a sliding view of history over the complex and critical three years 1918-21, supported with plenty of covers (many in colour) and packed with information and explanation of postmarks.135 pages, part in colour, Czech Society publication No 17, 2002
